Joshua Project in Romania

Ryan FlanneryRyan and Maci Flannery wanted to provide an update about receiving donations for the Joshua Project in Romania. Below are some details about how to donate. This information, along with more detail about the Joshua Project, can be found in pamphlets at the missions counter. Thank you so much for your prayers and support to help care for “the least of these” in Jesus’ Name!

Cash Donations

Because of constraints with storage and labor to process physical donations, monetary donations would be especially helpful. This will be used to help cover the cost of shipping items to Romania, and to meet physical needs there. If you would like to give, you can:

  • Give online at [www.firstmelissa.com/give](https://www.firstmelissa.com/give) with memo “Romania Missions”
  • Make checks out to “First Baptist Church Melissa” with memo “Romania Missions”
  • Add cash to envelope marked “Romania Missions”

Designated checks or cash can be placed in offering boxes in the sanctuary, or given to Ryan or Maci Flannery.

Physical Donations

Physical donations are of course greatly appreciated! There will be three more shipments through the remainder of the year: July, September, and November. To help with processing, each shipment is focused on a specific group of high-need items:

  • For July’s shipment, the following items are requested:
    • kids’ goods (clothes, shoes, underwear).
    • any age: towels, washcloths, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap.
  • The following items are always needed and welcomed:
    • socks & underwear (all ages), diapers, toiletries, over-the-counter meds, children’s vitamins

The cutoff to donate for the July shipment is Sunday, July 13. There will be a box in the entryway labeled “Romania Missions” for drop off until that date.
